Amanda is amazing! She is the first nutritionist to LISTEN and make recommendations to suit ME, working WITH me to set realistic goals, with realistic expectations.
I am a fussy eater with weight issues, but Amanda has used her knowledge, experience and kindness to be creative in thinking of alternative solutions, as well as encouraging me to stretch my (taste) comfort zone to ensure sufficient adaptations for best effect.
Amanda has made food substitutions so much easier too, and making a few at a time means that the changes we've made have become the new norm in our house. Knowing that Amanda truly cares, has really helped me focus my mindset as I love reporting back all the positive changes I've made; even swapping out 'poor grade' chocolate treats either for a better chocolate alternative or for fruit and nuts!
I must admit that I didn't at first notice the improvements in my health...until I slipped into old habits and all the old issues came flooding back. I think it's because the changes are gradual and only noticeable when you take a moment to look back on where you began.
The incredible thing is that I am enjoying this process, so much more than I thought I would. Amanda has encouraged me to be invested in, not only my own health but that of my family's as well. I have become far more aware of what my body needs and realise that its needs will change over time; depending on progressive factors such as age, or ever changing ones such as stress levels, health issues etc, and therefore I plan to continue seeing Amanda for nutritional follow ups for years to come.
I trust Amanda with my health and cannot recommend her highly enough!
I was fortunate to have several sessions with Amanda, she was able to help and advise me to cope with anxiety which was causing disturbed sleep patterns.
With her understanding manner I found it easy to speak to her explaining my feelings. Amanda was able to suggest some very helpful nutrition advice. From this I was able to adjust my diet which in time helped me to understand how my body was effected and how to control my anxiety.
Talking with Amanda really helped me and I advise anyone with similar problems to do the same
I went to see Amanda last year because I was constantly tired and wanted to lose some weight.
Amanda gave me lots of different things to try and asked so many questions you could really tell she cared and wanted to help.
